Beyond the Spider-Verse is set to close the Spider-Verse trilogy after a long wait.
I guess it’s time since we heard anything about the final part of the trilogy. Well, now the fans can rejoice.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is officially scheduled to release on June 18, 2027.
Yeah, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), it was taking like forever, as the fans waited.
Following Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse, Beyond is set to close out the Sony Pictures’ animated Spider-Verse trilogy.

Well, now Sony’s CinemaCon presentation has proved that the wait is worth it. Director Bob Persichetti, Justin K. Thompson, and writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller teased Beyond the Spider-Verse as one of the most emotionally charged chapters yet, which will have Miles Morales race across the Spider-Verse to save his family.
The upcoming Spider-Verse has been described as the Avengers: Endgame of this story, and had it even been titled Across the Spider-Verse Part 2, originally, as it follows up directly from Across the Spider-Verse‘s shocking cliffhanger ending. Beyond the Spider-Verse, originally slated for March 29, 2024, was delayed indefinitely due to major creative differences.
Stating as the last one in the Miles trilogy, there could be chances for more spin-offs thanks to many possibilities in sight, like Spider-Gwen, or maybe Spider-Punk, who knows. The film has Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy. Along with them will be Oscar Issac, Daniel Kaluuya, John Mulaney, and Karan Son, reprising their roles as Miguel O’Hara, Spider-Punk, Spider-Ham, and Spider-Man India, among others.
Across the Spider-Verse ended with Hailee Steinfeld’s Spider-Gwen putting up a team to get Miles back.

Also, if the rumors are to be believed, MCU’s Tom Holland will pop up in this flick, but again, when asked about a potential cameo, creatives have simply said, “No comment.”
In an interview, as stated in FW, Beyond is most definitely the end:
“It is the end of Miles Morales’ trilogy, and so this whole thing is like working towards that, but this obviously has its own complete film with a beginning, middle, and end, and Miles starts in one place and ends in another, and all the characters have their arc in this film, but that’s it for us. We’re so tired.”
And as aforementioned, this leaves the door open for potentially more movies revolving around different Spider-Verse characters. The filmmakers have made it clear this is Miles’ story, and Beyond will bring that to a close.
And there’s a rumor of Sony planning the live-action Miles Morales, a character the studio has been prepping for quite some time.

When Sony Pictures producer Amy Pascal was asked about a few projects, including a Miles movie. Pascal remained cryptic and cautioned and said, “I cannot tell you yet, but it’s coming,” which had come just after Amy teased fans, “have to wait a couple of years for a live-action Miles.
Anyway, we’re getting Spider-Noir, with Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, soon.
