Half a decade ago, Avengers: Endgame lit the big screens with awes and wows. And now, before the next MCU installment hits theaters on December 18, 2026, it’s been scheduled to return with a new subtitle, Avengers: Endgame Encore, with a longer runtime.

Avengers: Endgame Encore releases on September 25, 2026.

As per the reports gathered, this edition’ll feature additional new scenes not present in the 2019 Endgame, which include:

• 1. A brand-new introduction from the Russo Brothers, Joe and Anthony Russo,
• 2. Unseen footage, and
• 3. And maybe the most critical one, a new end sequence that will bridge the film directly to Doomsday.

Avengers: Endgame Encore will have a runtime of 3 hours and 8 minutes, with the inclusion of 7 minutes of new footage, and will be seen as the longest Avengers flick the MCU has to date, albeit it was holding the title anyway. Avengers: Doomsday is revealed to have a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes, making it the second-longest MCU flick.

Avengers: Doomsday marks the beginning of the end of the Multiverse Saga, with Avengers: Secret Wars concluding it. The Avengers flicks are set to release a year apart, with ‘Doomsday’ slated for a December 2026 release, while ‘Secret Wars’ is slated for a December 2027 release.

Just a Passing Thought

There’s a rumor that the additional clip might have something that connects the turnout of the events in Avengers: Endgame, resulting in the creation of Victor von Doom’s transformation to Doctor Doom and/or a sequence of the rumored Galactus scene, which was supposed to be shown as an after-credits scene, but was never shown/created.

Who knows what and how, and so they are called rumors, right!? 😉
