Daredevil: Born Again S02 has set the groundwork

With Daredevil: Born Again S02, everyone’s favorite, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones has entered the MCU (albeit Netflix’s MCU was connected to it). After Charlie’s Daredevil got to lead Born Again, Krysten’s Jessica is what everyone is looking up to.

Marvel Studios is doing well in building a comprehensive street-level corner of the MCU. Daredevil: Born Again is bringing back most of the important Netflix Marvel cast. Initially keeping it to Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, Disney+ Marvel series is starting to include villains, heroes, and supporting cast from the past. We even got Jon Bernthal’s Punisher leading in The Punisher: One Last Kill.

After her solo series, Jessica Jones S03 in 2019, and wrapping up the Defenders Saga, Jessica made her return in the final three episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 02. First, making an off-screen presence by helping Matt Murdock and Karen Page, she showed up to take down Mayor Fisk.

Her appearance revealed some new details, like she and Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter, are the parents of young Danielle. These new teases can account for a perfect new Jessica Jones series.

For now, we know Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will be back in Daredevil: Born Again Season 03, along with Finn Jones as Iron Fist, after @warlinghd (via Getty Images) shared the first Daredevil: Born Again season 3 set photos, proving that we are getting the Defenders officially back in one way or another. Daredevil: Born Again S02E08: The Southern Cross, ended the season with Jessica back at Alias Investigations.

Her new role as a mother, trying to rekindle her relationship with Luke Cage, and also trying to stabilize her fluctuating powers after the birth of her daughter, all add up to a perfect retaliation.
