Michael’s equivocal tease could be a ‘BIG’ hint for what’s coming next

It’s been almost 3+ years since Loki Season 02 concluded, and still, there’s no news about a Season 03. Regarded as one of the best Marvel shows, Loki intrigued fans from every corner, like a very few shows the MCU has offered.

Michael Waldron was the showrunner for Season 1, and Eric Martin took over for the next season.

But did you know that there was an alternate, unreleased ending for Season 01!?

Yeah, sometime back, Michael Waldron, Loki’s showrunner, had said about the finale that they had planned originally, was that “…million different endings,” and also added, “There’s always a different ending. But there was the original one-season ending, which I guess is just for me.”

In one Q&A session of Ask Me Anything on Reddit, Waldron was presented with the question of whether his alternate ending for Season 1 could find its way into the MCU at some point, or maybe via a Loki S03. Michael kinda answered the question, and typed:

“I actually typed out the answer, but never say never, especially in the MCU. Maybe one day you’ll get to see it instead of read it.”

Loki Season 01 ended with a showdown between Sylvie and He Who Remains at the End of Time, with Sylvie killing He Who Remains and unleashing an overwhelming multiverse.

This hints that anything is possible with the MCU, and possibilities are endless! 😉 Anyway, it seems like there’s more to Loki’s journey, and for now, Michael is shhh about it.
