Leaks and rumors ought to have spoiled some key plot details of the next Avengers

As everyone is excited about the release of Avengers: Doomsday on Dec 18, 2026. Leaks and rumors may have spoiled some key plot details for Avengers: Doomsday, so here’s everything we know so far. As the production took place in the UK from Mar-Sept ’25, now reshoots are expected to take place in the coming months before the big date.

Fans are waiting excitedly to see Robert Downey Jr. come back as Doctor Doom, along with many old stars, including a few classic X-Men actors.

But in the midst of all these, a few rumors, leaked scenes, or post-credits scenes are believed to have spoiled a few key plots. Let’s take a look at what those are:

There’re rumors that the next Avengers will open with a face-off between Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Wolverine played by Hugh Jackman. Fans are excited and over-thrilled to see the legacy heroes share screen explosively. All as their Earths crash into each other, establishing the incursion threat to the Multiverse.

But they won’t be the only ones; other members of the X-Men and Doc. Ock, played by Alfred Molina, too, will join the bandwagon.

There are rumors that Doctor Doom’s origin is a tad altered. Marvel is gonna make Doctor Doom suffer a tragic loss (his wife and son are to be killed in an accident, which scars his face, making him wear the mask).

Doom will trace the accident to Avengers: Endgame and Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, ending up with Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell. And this will spark Doom’s vendetta against the Multiverse.

By appearing in the mid-credits of Fantastic Four: First Steps, Doom’s meeting with the Fantastic Four is set, and Thunderbolts* post-credits showed a Fantastic Four spaceship in Marvel-616.

And with the post-credits’ scene of Fantastic Four: First Steps, we see Victor von Doom visiting Franklin at Baxter Building. And now with the Avengers: Doomsday fourth trailer, having M’Baku and the Thing introducing each other indicates that the F4 spaceship lands in Wakanda, and it must be F4 and Doctor Doom.

In the post-credits of The Marvels, Monica Rambeau aka Spectrum played by Teyonah Parris finds herself on X-Men’s Earth and sees Beast played by Kelsey Grammer, and Binary played by Lashana Lynch, who is also Monica’s deceased mom, Maria Rambeau.

This may give rise to Avengers vs X-Men storyline, maybe not as same as the book, but the one fueled by Doctor Doom and still one of the events the fans don’t wanna miss.

And Avengers: Doomsday 3^rd trailer, confirms the presence of the Sentinels.

In the mid-credits of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we see Charlize Theron’s Clea recruit Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange to repair the incursion he’s caused unknowingly.

In the post-credits of Captain America: Brave New Worlds, we have an imprisoned Sterns aka Leader, warning Wilson of a forthcoming attack from other worlds beyond his knowledge.

Marvel has brought in younger bloods with Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvels.

Whereabouts of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, or Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts, Dafne Keen’s Laura Kinney aka X-23 and Owen Wilson’s Mobius are still shh…shh.

The Lord of Stories’ powers must be one thing that Doctor Doom is after. That could be his endgame to rewrite the timelines. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki’s role is still a mystery.

What we know could be just the tip of an iceberg, there could be more.

And finally, we’ll have Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom closing Avengers: Doomsday for the next Avengers: Secret Wars, as Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie when speaking with Collider.

When asked about his reaction to reading the film’s script, Anthony was very excited about the story. He confirmed the cliffhanger at the end.

‘You know what? I was really excited, man. It’s one of those stories that really pushes the boundaries, and it — the cliffhanger at the end, you know, the last moments of the film — it really builds and sets us up for a way for the continuation of the Marvel saga, which is really exciting.”

Oh, yeah, we’re might get Wolverine vs. Spider-Man as we anticipated. But there’s another big fight, every comic fan is excited about or wants to see it live-action onscreen. Oh yeah, there’s a new leak, and that reveals Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk vs. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

The Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk is an amazing arc. The animated Hulk vs. Wolverine is one of the eight Marvel Animated Features projects made by MLG Productions. This has to be during the X-Men incursion, if it’s an actual leak. Let’s wait and see.
