Synopsis:

After the fierce battle between the Saiyans, Krillin, Bulma, and Gohan travel to planet Namek to resurrect their fallen allies with the Namekian Dragon Balls. The search sends them on a collision course with Vegeta and a more powerful evil force in the universe, Freeza, who is also here to gather the dragon balls to wish for immortality. What will it take to defeat this great evil? Will the unthinkable happen, and will Vegeta stand with Goku and the Z-Fighters against Freeza and the Ginyu Force? And as Freeza completes his transformation, at the same time, he witnesses the birth of a legendary Super Saiyan!

AWEsomeness:

Akira Toriyama’s work is superb. The book resonates with the energy and Saiyan battle.

My View:

Dragon Ball Z’s magic works equally and with full force in this new arc, combining three sagas, Namek Saga, Captain Ginyu Saga, and Freeza Saga, for a powerful impact. In this arc, we witness the rise of a Saiyan legend as powerful forces collide. The art and plot sync so well that the reader feels the full intensity of the battle. The vibrant color adds depth to the plot. It doesn’t fail to give the readers the feeling one gets when watching the explosive Dragon Ball Z. It’s like pure bliss.
