Synopsis:

Sara Pezzini and Danielle Bapiste are forced into battle forgetting their sisterhood; for the control of the artifact, Witchblade, split between the two when the former became pregnant with her daughter, Hope. And then there are more forces at play. And no matter what, in the end, there can be only one Witchblade bearer.

AWEsomeness:

The plot is intriguing in every aspect along with the fantabulous art with a three-dimensional image sort.

My View:

The volume is captivating, with the art and the plot. I was dragged across a few crisis-level events at the very start of exploring Top Cow, and I was ‘WOW’ (that’s not the abbreviation for ‘War of Witchblades‘), but what I meant is ‘woah’! This volume comes after the ‘First Born‘ of the Artifacts Origin arc. In this, one experiences the amalgamation of science and magic in a mesmerizing sync. For a new reader, this is an incredible story arc. The decision of both the wearers to not share the artifact and the spark this war causes are all constructed amazingly.  The story arc brings forth its amazing piece of finality with an intriguing conclusion paving the way for a new beginning with a new sense. The story and the art unfolds explosively signaling an event-breakout with wondrous consequences in the Top Cow universe.
