20 years after Episode III, the Star Wars franchise’ll reveal it
Yeah, you read it right. 20 years after the release of Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars’ gonna reveal the much-awaited suspense about Darth Vader. In the release of a brand new novel, Star Wars: Master of Evil, we’ll learn how Palpatine, the Emperor of the Galactic Empire and the master of Darth Vader, keeps his “Promise” to Anakin Skywalker.

Written by Adam Christopher, author of Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith, the line from its synopsis fills the air with curiosity.
Vader remains haunted by the promises of the dark side, seeking the ultimate power that his master has hinted at but withheld—the power to conquer death itself.
The foundation stone to turn Anakin Skywalker to the dark side was laid in Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Anakin turning to the dark side came with him killing his wife, Padmé Amidala. This grief and pain became the key source of his power. In the upcoming work, we shall more likely see Vader trying to learn to defeat death, which only one has achieved, and that is Palpatine’s mentor, Darth Plagueis, aka Darth Plagueis the Wise, with the ability to cheat death & create life.
This book will tell Vader’s journey to escape the echoes of his past and purge all his weaknesses to become the true master of evil.
Darth Vader had tried to bring Padmé back to life…twice…in Star Wars canon. Once in the 2017 series, Darth Vader’s final issue, as she kills herself saying “Anakin Skywalker is dead”, and second in Vader Immortal VR game series, when the Aeon Engine is destroyed.

Recognizing both of these so-called canonical events, it’ll be exhilarating to know more about Anakin’s journey.
May the Force be with you!
Star Wars: Master of Evil is set to release on November 11, 2025.
