Synopsis:

Superboy and Robin are tasked by their mentors to recruit someone for the heroes. But in the process, they face Metallo.

AWEsomeness:

The plot was good and just a filler, and the manga-inspired art felt a tad hard in some places.

My Review:

An okayish read, a single-issue tale, a filler-in fact, on an early team-up of Superboy and Robin. But it had its effect with Superman and Batman sending their wards to recruit the new Toyman, Hiro Okamura. The story focused on the recruitment process as Superboy appears to be a bit shaken regarding the info about his origin. Sending their wards to do the job, Batman/Superman showed the confidence and trust they had in them, albeit they knew their wards were distracted from whatever the matter was, and had their heads in the daily activity.

Rating: 3.5/5 stars
