The manga series by Naoya Matsumoto is a huge success. It is serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga platform, while in English by VIZ Media. In 2024, we saw the anime adaptation of the same. On March 28, 2025, a compilation of Season 1 was released, accompanied by Hoshina’s Day Off, a special feature. A game version is coming out soon. Yes, KAIJU NO. 8 — THE GAME is an all-new Kaiju-slaying battle RPG, co-developed by Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G. It is coming to smartphones and PC, bringing players to experience the world of Kaiju No. 8.

Global pre-registration is now open. Players can unlock exclusive in-game rewards by helping reach pre-registration milestones, including the 4 playable characters.

The game introduces an original storyline that goes beyond and enriches the universe for longtime fans and newcomers alike. The Game combines stunning visuals with accessible mechanics, cinematic moves, and detailed models of Kaiju.  

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is officially set to premiere in July 2025, and Kaiju No. 8 — The Game is set to be released on August 31, 2025.
