The complete story of the most powerful and fiercest race in the whole Dragon Ball Universe is yet to be revealed!
Dragon Ball’s battle cries and incredible power surges excite everyone. Akira Toriyama made an incredible masterpiece, which never gets old no matter whether you were/is a kid or a teen, or an adult CEO, Dragon Ball fills you with excitement recalling the old memories. Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and now Dragon Ball Daima explore and unveil fascinating canonish details. But, still, there are some, and of them, there is a story arc that can shout for a Dragon Ball Z prequel that goes back to centuries before the very first meeting of Goku and Bulma in the pilot episode of Dragon Ball.

The most exciting thing yet to be explored is the history of the Saiyans and the start of the Super Saiyan legend. This could be a very rich and powerful piece of the Saiyan lore.
The History of the Saiyans!
Yeah, we have seen tits and bits of the history of the Saiyans now and then like how they arrived at Planet Plant later renamed as Planet Vegeta in Age 550, defeated Tuffles after a decade-long battle, worked for Frieza & King Cold and how Frieza obliterated the whole race in Age 735. But who were the Saiyans, they were fierce and aggressive, but how did they reach Planet Plant? That would be an exciting thing to look into.

Also, in Dragon Ball Super, it was revealed that not every Saiyan was violent & aggressive by nature albeit they were a warrior race. Some were pacifist ones.
But amid all these, there was a Saiyan named Yamoshi!
Who is Yamoshi!
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods revealed Yamoshi is regarded as the first Super Saiyan. A noble heart who led a rebellion, and fought the evil ones. He even increased his power levels to Super Saiyan God level becoming the first Super Saiyan God, but his power died out on him and he was defeated.
Yamoshi was considered to belong to a separate type of Saiyans who had different ki compared to modern ones. He is first shown in a vision in Dragon Ball Z episode: Goku’s New Powers and also as a Golden Great Ape.

“A Super Saiyan appears once every thousand years…, Saiyan who overcomes the wall which no warrior, no matter how gifted, can overcome…”
— Vegeta
Yamoshi along with his five comrades unleashed the Super Saiyan God mode to fight the evil Saiyans. His defeat and loss of his comrades tainted his transformation and he gave in to his power rather than to the goodness in his heart.
Yamoshi is the perfect protagonist on whom the History of the Saiyans, and the Saiyan Civil War could be centered. This can give depth to the Saiyan lore and everyone will have a new character to fall in love with.
Imagine a series like DAIMA, providing a 25-30-episode structured story about how Yamoshi started his rebellion and the allies he gathered to fight the Evil Saiyans.
The evil Saiyans can be nostalgic as it can bring the original characterizations of Raditz, Vegeta, Nappa, and even Bardock, who are descendants of the Evil Saiyans, and give us a look at how the original Saiyans were.
In a Dragon Ball special episode: Episode of Bardock, it is shown as Bardock unlocking the Super Saiyan form in a battle with Frieza’s ancestor Chilled. But That is considered non-canon for now.
Not Just Tournaments
Dragon Ball generally focuses on tournaments, but here we will get an actual civil war scenario with more bloodthirsty and willingness to play dirty, and most of all can give everyone a break from Goku, Vegeta, Broly, and the rest of the gang. Tournaments are good, but so are the history and actions with nothing held back, especially the animalistic natures.
With fans desperate for more action and stories without fillers, and heritage session could be a game-changer. Saiyan heritage is something to be explored, and everyone would love to see the origin of the Super Saiyan myth in the Dragon Ball universe.
