Before Moon Knight’s second season, he might appear in an Avenger flick
Moon Knight, played by Oscar Issac, thrillingly rocked MCU, almost three years back on March 30, 2022, by being among the strongest MCU shows in Disney+. Everyone’s waiting excitedly for Season 2 to make its entry. So far, Moon Knight is the closest MCU got to DC’s Batman in a few ways.
With no sign of it yet, Oscar Issac dons the Moon Knight costume in the What If…? third and final season. Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight officially returned in episode 1, “What If…The Hulk Fought the Mecha Avengers?” which increased the excitement of seeing Moon Knight after his last appearance.
In an October interview with Deadline, Mohamed Diab, Moon Knight director, stated, “You never know – with Marvel nothing is called finished. There could be a film, or he could go into another universe… Right now nothing is in talks but definitely with Moon Knight, I would love to be involved in anything else and it could happen for sure. I have a great relationship with them.”
Warning! Proceed at your own risk! What If…? Season 3, spoilers ahead!
With Moon Knight’s first appearance, it wasn’t clear in which universe he existed in the MCU multiverse. Some say he’s set in MCU-616, some say another MCU-616, or Earth-58163. Right now, as per What If…? Moon Knight interacts with the other heroes and is officially christened as an Avenger. But this is a variant of the one we, fans, fell in love with!
In this everyone, the Avengers as well as Moon Knight has been reinvented. The Avengers in this are the new generation of Avengers after the OG ones are killed by the new MCU Hulk villain, The Apex. The new generation of Avengers includes Spector, Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, Nakia, Red Guardian, and Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi who come together to defeat Hulk and his Gamma Beast army. And for this mission, they are equipped with giant mech-suits created by Tony Stark.

Moon Knight’s mecha-Avenger armor design is similar to Spector’s “Mummy” costume with scythe blades fitted to its forearms. It’s indeed a wonderful move by Marvel Studios, and having Moon Knight is a bold and amiable one.
Everyone has hopes of seeing Oscar Isaac back as Moon Knight in any one of both of the upcoming Avenger flicks!
