Shadow the Hedgehog is Batman, the Dark Knight.
On Tuesday morning i.e. on 09.24.’24, SEGA held their fourth annual Sonic Central event, announcing several projects tied to Sonic the Hedgehog like video games, merchandise, movies, animations, along with tie-ins with Lego and Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble Roblox and Two Point Museum.
But the news that stole our hearts was an enticing upcoming project with DC Comics. Yeah, you read that right, there’s a collab that’s gonna happen, and it’ll have Sonic and his friends as Justice League characters.
Sega’s Ivo Gerscovich revealed who will be as who in addition to the teaser that was released on Batman Day where Shadow the Hedgehog appeared as Batman. Rest are as follows as per Gersovich:
- Knuckles the Echidna as Superman
- Amy Rose as Wonder Woman
- Sonic the Hedgehog as the Flash
- Tails as Cyborg
- Silver the Hedgehog as Green Lantern
Writer Ian Flynn, who has worked on Archie Comics and IDW Publishing’s Sonic the Hedgehog comics, is leading the DC superhero/furry cartoon animal mashup. This crossover is set to debut in March 2025 and will span five issues, and in the video below where Ivo Gerscovich is interviewed by Tiffany Smith, more exciting additions are revealed that may continue into 2026.
