The release date for Dragon Ball DAIMA (Japanese) announced 

Dragon Ball never goes out of date as the year passes. It just gets more and more enthralling. We had Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, (Dragon Ball Z Kai), Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super with Dragon Ball Z Kai being the remastered version of Dragon Ball Z without fillers and Dragon Ball GT being an equally intriguing non-canon. And now we’re having Goku and his gang powering up again as we wait for Dragon Ball Super’s new season.

What’s Dragon Ball DAIMA

Before his passing, Akira Toriyama teased the Dragon Ball Daima story as a whole new anime with characters turned into their smaller selves. And to fix this, they head out into a new world with intense actions. And Goku will be using his power pole after a long time since Dragon Balls.

Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the late Akira Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball manga. This DAIMA features Goku and his gang in a new form with all sorts of new adventures. It is considered canon, but currently everyone is in doubt how it will be placed in sync with Dragon Ball Super.

Before his passing, Akira Toriyama teased the original story as aforementioned.

When’ll it be Air’d?

Dragon Ball DAIMA will be aired on Oct 11, 2024 at 11:40 PM JST, as per Mantan Web reports on Fuji Television. But the international plans are yet to be revealed. 

Akira Toriyama has a hand in weaving the original story and character designs for the show. It is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki under Toei Animation.
