Sara Pezzini and Witchblade make an enthralling pair

Of all the supernatural series, Witchblade is one of the most appreciated ones. This July 17, 2024, a new Witchblade series is coming out to intrigue new and old readers alike. And Sara Pezzini is the bearer. Yeah, this is a relaunch or you can call it a reboot. Penned by NYT Best-Selling Marguerite Bennett (Animosity, Batwoman, DC Bombshells) and visualized by artist Giuseppe Cafaro (Suicide Squad, Power Rangers, Red Sonja). The dynamic duo is joining forces with original co-creator Marc Silvestri (CEO, Top Cow Productions Inc. & founder of Image Comics).

They’re reintroducing the series with a reimagined origin with slight tweaks here and there on the familiar characters. The Witchblade series will explore the extreme sides of Sara, her personal thoughts, desires, hunger, and solitude, along with her possession by the Witchblade.

Bennett adds that it will be an amalgamated world with the fusion of a noir True Detective-like world with an amalgamated mix of Berserk and Zodiac. Could this be a new approach to a new Artifacts event like last time? Can’t wait to see what this action-packed universe will reveal in time.

Sara Pezzini last wielded the Witchblade in Witchblade #185 of Witchblade: Borne Again vol. 3.

Witchblade #1 is gonna hit the comic stores on July 17, 2024.
