OG Director, Kenneth Branagh ready to make a comeback
The talk about Spidey, Avengers, and Doctor Doom is in the air, but in the midst of all these, Kenneth Branagh, the original director of Thor in 2011, has something in mind regarding the next installment.
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Kenneth spoke about his plans to return to the MCU after Thor and all. The filmmaker expressed that working with Marvel and Kevin Feige was intense, but in a good way, and he wanted a break. He took it!

Kenneth admitted how he would love to finish his relationship with the character. He’d want to do more than just some ideas and would like to play with Thor in a Logan-esque terrain. He also said, “I would love to see Chris Hemsworth and the others have their own individual final story that takes Thor into a glorious twilight.”
Kenneth appreciated the later sequels and praised the world Kevin saw for the characters featuring varied adventures, humor, and approaches to the narratives. Taika Waititi helmed the last two Thor films, Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder, grossing a total of $1.6 billion.
As aforementioned, the Multiverse Saga is making noise as Marvel Studios plans to proceed with the principal photography on Avengers: Secret Wars. Chris Hemsworth has referred to Thor’s future as a bright one after 2027, and even in an interview, he has stated affirmatively about playing Marvel icon a ‘couple more times.’
Anyway, no date has been officially released, but Chris will appear now in Avengers: Doomsday by the end of the year.
