DC and Marvel are reprinting the 2003’s legendary crossover
Come summer 2026, and the Earth’s Greatest Superheroes will meet the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the most epic story ever!
Yeah, you read/heard it right. DC and Marvel are reprinting Kurt Busiek and George Pérez’s legendary crossover, JLA/Avengers, in facsimile editions
Fans have noted JLA/Avengers #1 in the May 2026 solicitations.
First released in 2003, the landmark 4-part plot marked one of the most ambitious crossovers in the whole superhero business. The series delivered universe-spanning actions threatening both realities.
Marvel will release #1 in May and #3 in July, while DC will release #2 in June and #4 in August. Each instalment’ll feature new variant covers.

These new facsimile editions are a continued push from the DC/Marvel collaborations after the launch of Deadpool/Batman and Batman/Deadpool last year.
These new editions are up for preorder!
Many fans, including us, would love to see this adapted into a live/animated version someday; Zack Snyder can capture its true essence, even if he tries to modify it a bit!
