Synopsis:

Hindu mythology has a vast collection of stories. Of them, Shiva is considered as the destroyer in the Hindu myth and one of the most powerful members of the holy trinity. Shiva has a rosary with 5 skulls of a demon, a god, a king, an avatar, and a son around his neck. And their stories show that not everything is as simple as it seems, even for the Gods even they have their flaws. These are stories filled with dark emotions, of lust, of jealousy, of hatred, of passion, of incest, and of power.

This Indie Graphic novel is an array of five stories of the five skulls on Shiva’s rosary. It tells the mythological stories in a very creative manner, and the art provides justice, balancing the stories. Shweta Taneja and Vivek Goel are really amazing with their storytelling and artworks, respectively. They retell Rudra’s (Shiva’s other name) story excitingly and intriguingly. The book is in black & white mode. The stories are dark, gritty, filled with emotions like lust and rage, and they keep the reader hooked, from one tale to another. I bought this from Vivek Goel himself, along with some other books he sold. And the best part, two of the heads belong to the other two holy trinity members in one way or another, and that just fuels the excitement to know or see the showdown between them.
