The X-Men flick’ll mark the beginning of a new era

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already started developing the X-Men reboot, with The Multiverse Saga nearing its end. With Phase 7, the mutants will enter the MCU timeline, at last.

As per the rumors, there’s a Wolverine solo film currently in the works at Marvel Studios. Not much is known about it.

In an interview with Comic Book Movie, Dafne Keen, who plays Laura Kinney aka X-23 was asked about her thoughts on fan demands of her playing Wolverine soon.

Dafne played Laura in James Mangold’s Logan, as one of her breakthrough roles in acting.

The star commented. “Yeah, I mean, it means so much to me. I always think it’s so special that something that we made 10 years ago still has an impact.”

Dafne continued, “And I know that I love that character so dearly. And it means so much to me that so many people love her as much as I do. And it’s so special to know that what you’ve made means something.”

Elaborating about her return as Laura Kinney/X-23 in Shawn Levy’s Deadpool & Wolverine, Dafne said, “I think that what we made really did mean something. And it’s great to keep receiving that. I also think it’s very important to connect with people.” The X-23 star feels that “Every time I hear that a performance of mine has made someone feel a certain way, I feel very connected. And I think it’s so beautiful. So many people are excited by it. And I’m very happy anytime anyone wants to speak about it.”

Anyway, details of X-Men are still under wraps. Script is written by Michael Lesslie and will be directed by Jake Schreier following his success with Thunderbolts*. For now, no dates have been decided for the X-Men reboot.

X-Men will mark the start of Phase 7 in the MCU. The audience will get a taste of the mutants in Avengers: Doomsday andAvengers: Secret Wars.
