A revelation surprise for everyone!
During SDCC ’24, Robert Downey Jr. revealed his return to Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the villainous Doctor Doom aka Victor von Doom. It was a surprise for everyone, even Gwyneth Paltrow was not spared!
Yeah. fans worldwide were thrilled with his return, and there were shouts of joy and all, but concomitantly, they were stunned. But just like them was one person who was equally baffled with the whole ‘Revelation’ chapter, RDJ’s co-star Gwyneth Paltrow.
Gwyneth isn’t sure what to make of it and his return to Marvel.
Confused Gwyneth
RDJ took to Instagram to share a picture with Doom’s mask, after revealing his return on the Marvel stage at SDCC. The post along with the video of the revelation drew a flood of responses from followers and fans.
Among them, Gwyneth, also commented, “I don’t get it, are you a baddie now?”, while the Russo Brothers commented in the same post, “We’ve always said green is your color…” as a fan commented “Being hero or villain, I love you in all the Universes.”
Gwyneth wasn’t just playing along, she was genuinely thrown off the plank surprised. Gwyneth had shared the screen with RDJ as Pepper Potts to his Tony Stark in Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), The Avengers (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are aligned for 2026 and 2027 release, respectively. RDJ will be playing Doctor Doom, in this new Marvel multiverse flicks.
