George Clooney did a cameo as Bruce Wayne for The Flash
Of all the stars who have donned the Dark Knight’s suit, one isn’t at all thrilled about it. He considers it his biggest regret.
In an interview with Movieweb, to promote his movie Jay Kelly, George Clooney feels guilty for starring in 1997 Joel Schumacher’s ‘Batman & Robin’, scripted by Akiva Goldsman. Jay Kelly’s main theme is on second chances, confronting the choices made, and in tune with that theme, when asked what moment from his career he’d like to take a second shot at, Clooney answered promptly, “Batman & Robin!” as he wished he had a second chance to read the script and happily turn it down.

George’s performance in an episode of ER landed him the role. ER was a massive show at that time, and his performance in ER S02e07: Hell and High Water, in which his Dr. Doug Ross rescues a young boy trapped in a flooded storm drain.
As per Christopher Chulack, director of ER, in an interview, “That episode got 45 million viewers. The next day, Bob Daley and Terry Semel, who were the presidents of Warner Bros. Television, came down and knocked on George’s dressing room door and told him, ‘You’re going to be the next Batman because of the heroism of that episode.’”
In his interview, the Ocean’s Eleven star revealed that his hatred for the role extends even to his kids. “My son actually dressed as Batman for Halloween,” George said, “He hasn’t seen the movie.” I said, “‘”You know, I was Batman.” He’s like, “Not really.” I was like, “You have no idea how right you are.’”
Even his co-stars, Chris O’Donnell, who played Dick Grayson/Robin, and Alicia Silverstone, who played Barbara Wilson/Batgirl, reflect the same feeling for the movie. When Robert Pattinson talked about auditioning for the role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, he said he tried on the past Batman masks, including George’s, and he stated that of all the masks he tried, George Clooney’s smelled the best.
And to this comment, George joked,
Oh, you see, I have a good-smelling Bat-cowl, and I have great rubber nipples too.
This is how it is, albeit George did a cameo as Bruce Wayne at the end of The Flash.
