Tom Hiddleston explains Avengers: Doomsday’s connection to his Loki Season 02 finale
Loki, the ‘adopted’ brother of Thor, the God of Mischief, was killed by the Mad Titan, Thanos, in Avengers: Infinity War, but…
…an alternate timeline variant appeared in its sequel, Avengers: Endgame, who escapes and reprises his snobby identity in the series Loki that ran for 2 seasons.
And in the season finale, this version became the new overseer of the multiverse, and that’ll remain intact in Avengers: Doomsday.

Yup, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Hiddleston assured fans that Avengers: Doomsday won’t ignore Loki’s progress in the Loki series. Instead, it’ll be the start of a new chapter in Loki’s life:
Loki felt like a closure. And when Marvel called about Avengers: Doomsday, it was going to be starting from that endpoint. So, there was no sense of unstitching or undoing all of that development. That development still stands as a place to begin.
In the series, the other Loki who escapes in Avengers: Endgame, after stealing the Tesseract, ends up on a hero’s journey. Here, he meets the Time Variance Authority (TVA), partners with Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, and also meets a female variant, Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino, and more.
But at the end, we get to witness this ‘other’ Loki, the protagonist of the series, destroying TVA’s Temporal Loom and rejuvenating the dying timelines with his magic and holding them together at the End of Time, resembling Yggdrasil, the Asgardian World Tree. In doing so, TVA decides to track down Kang’s variants, who ought to be a nuisance.
Jonathan Major’s Kang was supposedly the next villain in the MCU saga after Josh Brolin’s Thanos, until Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom replaced him. Loki ought to be playing a crucial part in the Avengers: Doomsday, considering his current title as per the marvelous finale of the series, Loki. So, it’s fitting to consider this flick as the beginning of the end of the Multiverse Saga.
It is yet to be seen whether this Loki will share any screen time with his Sacred Timeline-ish brother, Thor, and his daughter, Love. How his role will surface is yet to be seen.
