As Brainiac arrives as the lead villain, a new female character is all set to join the DCU film
Man of Tomorrow is the next Superman flick everyone is looking forward to. With confirmations of Superman and Lex Luthor teaming up against Brainiac, putting their differences aside is something everyone is waiting to see. Meantime, casting seems to be on.
As per the sources, there’s a hint of the appearance of a new female hero. Described as one in her late twenties with sharp, strong qualities, there are a few. But some vital points narrow it down a lot; the character is a warrior with a strong physique. Also, there’s a height requirement for a tall actor. Not many fit these descriptions.
Yeah, yeah, I know there are three: Wonder Woman, Maxima, and Big Barda.
Wonder Woman, Diana Prince, the Amazonian Princess everyone knows, but the other two:

Big Barda
First Appearance: Mister Miracle #4 (October 1971)
Created by: Jack Kirby
A former elite warrior and the original leader of the Female Furies of Apokolips, raised and conditioned by Granny Goodness. Once in a raid, she meets Mister Miracle (Scott Free), the adopted son of Darkseid. She eventually becomes a hero and even joins the Justice League. And she’s really tall.
Maximus
First Appearance: Action Comics #645 (September 1989)
Created by: Roger Stern and George Pérez
The queen of the planet Almerac, whose search for the strongest mate on Earth ends with her eyes on Superman. Initially, she was obsessed with making Superman, her king, and producing a powerful heir. She possesses immense strength, telepathy, telekinesis, and energy manipulation. She later becomes a member of the Justice League.

Wonder Woman’s appearance is one that fans are waiting for, compared to the other two. But we think it will be either of those two. Wondy’s appearance could also set her up for her solo film, which is written by Ana Nogueira (Supergirl). Apart from that, James had confirmed a prequel series, Paradise Lost, is also in development. And the word ‘new’ sounds ambiguous in ‘…a new female character/a new hero joining DCU…’ in the casting hint. It sounds like it’s open for a rebooted character or a totally different character to ever appear in a DC flick. Maybe we’re overthinking, or maybe not, who cares, it’s fun! So, no idea! Now, looking at the way, Superman brought in Hawkgirl (Kendra Saunders), Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), Mister Terrific, and Metamorpho, something tells us that James Gunn is planning to reveal more characters than just the big ones.
There’re rumors of Supergirl (Milly Alcock), Lobo (Jason Momoa), and Peacemaker (John Cena) to play their part in the movie.
So, what do you think? Do tell us, in the comment session below, who you think this female hero will be!? Comon!!!
Production for the flick starts in April in Atlanta.
