Synopsis:

The final story of the Wolverine.

The story portrays James Howlett as an old man living in the Canadian wilderness, readily facing his own mortality, in a distant future. Many years have passed; many of his friends are dead and buried, including his arch nemesis—Victor Creed aka Sabretooth. Logan is on a quest to find the final truths behind his origin, but things get more complicated as he encounters a mysterious figure from his past. Who is this enigmatic figure, and what is his connection with James!?

AWEsomeness:

The art is a bit wavy, but it has the vibe. The plot is intriguing, and so is the art, catching every muscle and feature of time on the characters.

My review:

An amazing read. The way it connects with Wolverine: Origin is enticing, but a bit underwhelming compared to Origin. Some of the events contradict other storylines, but the tension between the mysterious figure and James builds up the heat for the story ahead. The revelation of an older brother and the bond Logan shares with Xavier give an interesting bend in the story. Paul Jenkins did a wonderful job, along with Castellini, who captured the animalistic qualities of Logan very well through his art. But, ‘The End’ tag didn’t quite feel like an ending, but something like the beginning of an end, but it seems he decided to end with a sorrowful cliffhanger. The art was, as aforementioned, but the plot of self-discovery was strong. It is an enjoyable read. The story with the art fuels up your imagination, on a good note.
