Synopsis:
Until they jumped, Kari and Rath were inseparable. Kari explores loneliness, death, sewers, and memories with Ruth. The story depicts the protagonist dealing with heartbreak, mental health, and self-healing against a backdrop set in a vast heteronormative Metropolitan City, Mumbai.
AWEsomeness:
The plot is enticing along with the flowy art. The art gives it a gothic touch with a calm, soothing storytelling feature.

My View:
It’s an intriguing story about a lesbian copywriter overcoming a heartbreak. It tells one person’s self-search for love amidst all the loneliness and smog. The psychological narrative is shown by tuning the fine lines of imagination, the public, and the protagonist’s views. An image similar to the famous The Two Fridas by Kahlo is a beautiful start, signifying the love, body, and the wish to become one, which is often challenged by society even now. The only perplexing thing in the whole story was the ending which stated ‘To be continued’, which in my general understanding should be valued to show the building of Kari’s character rather than implying a sequel. Some stories should stop at the right chord and this is the one. This amazing book illustrates the nature of gender identity mixed with courage and wonderful narrative angles. Overall, the book is worth one’s Pandora.
