Akira Toriyama, the Dragon Ball creator bids farewell!

This is the year of the dragon. And the first thought of the word ‘Dragon’ most of our minds fly with the images of Dragon Ball Z. Sadly the dragon year’s 3rd month opened with the passing of the creator, Akira Toriyama at the age of 68 due to acute subdural hematoma. He’s the man, no, in fact, the real legend behind the amazing Dragon Ball series with the anime adaption successfully received worldwide.
Born on 1955’s April 5, Akira Toriyama had an all-embracing career as a manga artist. The Mangaka’s other notable works were. Dr. Slump, and Sand Land, and even the video game Dragon Quest. Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, and Fairy Tale creators found inspiration through Akira Toriyama.
Toyotaro in a post on X revealed Akira Toriyama’s final contribution to the series with Chapter #103 of Dragon Ball Super. He recalls how his mentor asked him to make a final change in the final panel of the chapter. In the original storyboard, the Saiyans and Piccolo simply fly off after picking up the little girl at the school, but Toriyama added a moment that has Piccolo bidding farewell to the teacher, and it is shown like he’s bidding farewell to the readers too before flying off. Toriyama asking to do this final change using his favorite character, Piccolo, implies that. That was a perfect goodbye to all his fans in an ultra-instinct manner—an absolute GOATish style.

R.I.P. Toriyama, and thanks for everything!
