Synopsis:

J’onn J’onzz, aka the Martian Manhunter, tries to stop Marvin the Martian’s determination for world domination. Conflicted with his own Martian identity, he must stop Marvin before it’s too late. Also, a bonus story of the two!

AWEsomeness:

The first plot was really intriguing, and so was the art. The second story’s plot and art were more in a Looney Tunes manner, funny-ish sort.

My Review:

The issue is very creative. It works quite well in terms of actions, character designs, and the overall style of both the Martians and, most of all, their clashing ideologies that can go to an Earth-shattering kaboom! Their debates on whether the Earth is worth saving are quite fascinating. The book is an amazing read, and even gives us something to think about (in real life). This issue didn’t have them fighting each other to show off their brute force or hidden powers, but rather on viewpoints and morality.

The second story is a wackier crossover featuring teeny-weeny LT-flavored hijinks throughout. In short, this is a very good blend of characters, plots, and art. It’s a must-have/must-read book for every crossover fan or collector.
