Synopsis:

Anti-monitor, a being as old as time begins to destroy various universes, as the heroes and villains across the Multiverse unite to stop it, and the event resulting in the creation of a single universe. This is the first installment of the Crisis trilogy; followed by Infinite Crisis and Final Crisis.

AWEsomeness:

The story is an epic with beautiful art. The fear of eradication is well depicted.

This cover had become epic as it displayed the personal loss of one of the strongest being in DCU showing how destructive the crisis is.

My View:

One of the oldest crises in the entire DCU that shook the DCU omniverse, though there were events before this. But the actual event that shook the entire DCU-verse is this. The story is said in a very enrapturing way as pages explode with actions. I felt like I was watching the entire action unfold before my eyes. Wolfman has created a wonderful storyline; this book still has the thrill of capturing the audience even after more than 3 decades. Wolfman and Pérez created a ravishing masterpiece, indeed. One of the most famous crossovers in the history of comics. This story is credited with popularizing the idea of a large-scale crossover in comics. It is noted for its high death count; hundreds of characters died, including DC icons Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) and the Flash (Barry Allen). The cosmic event resulted in the entire DCU getting rebooted. The entire idea started with the thought of creating one universe within DC, but later again it spawned many more universes.
