Synopsis:
During the Early Modern period, suspected men and women were burned, hanged, tortured, and persecuted, for witchcraft. But, what if they weren’t the real ones. What if the truth was still out there!? Ancient, elusive, and deadly creatures seen rarely and even more rarely survived to recite the tale.
AWEsomeness:
The story is superb, and the art is amazing syncing with the story giving it an eerie feel.
My View:
This is a wonderful story by Scott Snyder. Jock’s art looked weird initially, but as aforementioned with the progress in the story, it syncs with the story and together they enhance the reader’s vision with an eerie feeling. The story. In some parts, it felt predictable but then there were times when it turns totally unexpectedly. The way of the storytelling and the eerie art give the woods and cave all a very haunted feel is really something that grips your nerves to what’s coming next.
