Synopsis:

Eric develops abilities after a mysterious disaster. His solitary position isolates him from the world. The entire book revolves around Eric’s evolution in action to the people around him.

AWEsomeness:

The plot is incredible and the art syncs well with the story conveying the mood and tones of the story.

My Review:

A decent story, though it was a bit fast-paced, especially Eric’s descent into craziness. An enticing book as the ways of untold powers are explained in a good as well as a bad light. Although, it is Eric’s story, it revolves around Eric, and a few characters close to him, like Sam (Eric’s best friend), Hugh (Eric’s brother), and Alma (Hugh’s wife). The evolution of the character’s personality and abilities is the elephant in the room. His evolution is filled with the impacts of his new ability and having to represent them in every suitable way that amplifies his state of mind. The frustration, jealousy, anger and all the emotions are depicted beautifully in the art and text. The plot is somewhat predictable, but Snejbjerg’s art gives the volumes required epically making it playout-able close to reality. This book works out as a perfect standalone superhero/villain origin story, one would love to have.
