Zack Snyder addresses the response to DC Studios’ Lanterns
Some more months to pass, and Lanterns will hit the screens. Recently, the Lanterns’ first trailer came out, but it was heavily criticized for the lack of green and also for not revealing the Emerald Knights in their suits.
But a week after the Lanterns trailer was out, Zack shared a pic on his Instagram — Wayne T. Carr’s scrapped cameo as John Stewart in his ZSJL. The filmmaker also stated, “@waynetcarr as John Stewart. A hero we planned to bring into the Justice League story. Some paths remain unseen… but the green glow is still out there.”
Yeah, Wayne was to be Green Lantern John Stewart in ZSJL, but then as usual, WB had to interfere and didn’t want the director using the Green Lantern, albeit, Green Lanterns Yalan Gur and Kilowog also appear in the movie, briefly. The studio had a Green Lantern Corps movie lined up, but unfortunately, it never took flight.
And coz of this, Wayne’s Green Lantern was replaced by Harry Lennix’s Martian Manhunter in the final scene with Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne.

Well, DCU’s Lantern’s marketing had just begun, and we still have chances to see the Green Lanterns in their suit.
Ohh other than Aaron Pierre’s John Stewart and Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan, Lanterns will also feature Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner, with DC villain Sinestro will be played by Ulrich Thomsen.
