Fans want more Moon Knight…and not any variant one!
In 2022, Moon Knight made his debut on Disney+. A show that was very unique compared to the other Marvel shows. The psychological takes, mythological boosts, amalgamated with Oscar Issas’s incredible performance, made it one of the most appreciated shows.
The show gave the viewers a taste unlike any other, and the finale also left doors open for further expansion.
It’s 2025, and the character has been kept on the sidelines since then. But… yeah, there’s a but, What If…? Season 3 brought the character back, but in a different timeline. Yeah, Moon Knight made a return in the animated MCU series What If…? Season 3’s episode 01 in an Avengers team, including Captain America, Moon Knight, and Monica Rambeau, ready to face off the gamma monsters.
It was fun, but something was missing in it!? It wasn’t the Moon Knight in season 1 of his MCU series. This one had no emotional tie as the live-action variant had.
Now, there have been rumors that Moon Knight will appear in another MCU Alternate Universe Project in 2025—Marvel Zombies.
Moon Knight’s role details are not revealed, and looking at the project’s name, it’s gonna be a fun, bloodier take on the character, but still, it won’t be the Moon Knight the fans want.
Moon Knight is presumed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars, but with no other projects in line, the most intriguing role will be an appearance in Moon Knight season 2. MKs02 can also answer some of the hanging questions, like who is the Jake Lockley version, and what happens to Layla now that she is the Scarlet Scarab, and who can forget, Khonshu and his plans.
Everyone knows that pushing the character directly into a crossover will impact the fans and the character ripping the connection it built in 2022. Moreover, it’ll benefit the MCU by reintroducing a variety. And Oscar Isaac will, of course, love to return; he was great!
