Which will stay and which will not? If they stay, how much will be altered?

The Flash reset has news on the DCU unleashed by the DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran. As some shows were out before Superman, confusion took flight.

James clarified this while responding to a comment on his Instagram post that he’d shared expressing his excitement for Creature Commandos. As per James, The Flash resetting the DCU allows some roles to stay as they are, while others are open to recast; i.e., certain DCEU elements will be retained in their rebooted DCU franchise.

So, as per James, Viola Davis is still Amanda Waller for the Waller HBO series. John Cena, Jennifer Holland, and Danielle Brooks will reprise their roles as Peacemaker, Emilia Harcourt, and Leota Adebayo.

In the matter of who’ll remain, James has stated that Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck won’t be Clark Kent/Superman or Bruce Wayne/Batman anymore. Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam has not yet been decided. None of the hero characters will be reprising their roles. Jason Momoa is reportedly signed as Lobo in the DCU. Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot’s Aquaman and Wonder Woman are still in the evaluation zone.

If Zachary Levi’s Shazam and Xolo Maridueña’s Blue Beetle perform well in their future movies, they have a chance to stay. Coz of James’ affinity towards Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, her future is currently unknown, as it is considered one of the DCEU’s biggest successes and will therefore likely remain in the DCU, but it isn’t confirmed yet. If any of them stay, the reset can affect their history.
