Jon Bernthal’s Punisher has a special job orchestrated

With The Punisher, Jon Bernthal played Frank Castle in the Netflix Marvel debut Daredevil Season 2. Later he even got his own spin-off, but later we thought everything was scrapped off or lost/rebooted when the MCU announced a takeover on the Netflix Marvel. But with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil return, Jon Bernthal is still all set to don the Punisher role once again in Daredevil: Born Again.

Bernthal will return in his own Marvel special project that, as per Entertainment Weekly reports, is a Werewolf by Night-inspired special.

Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television had commented, “It’s like a shotgun blast of a story, but also has all the pathos and emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story,” about the special. Jon Bernthal along with We Own This City director Reinaldo Marcus Green is writing the script.

Marvel has released specials, including Werewolf by Night, as part of MCU Phase Four. Phase Four also had The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special which reunited the stars of the series with James Gunn writing and directing.

Daredevil: Born Again will be the continuation of the original Daredevil. It’ll have Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofro, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, and Wilson Bethel reprise their roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Kingpin/Wilson Fisk, Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, Vanessa Fisk, and Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye. The show is also stated to return with Season 2.

Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ on March 4th.
