Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is returning

Avengers: Doomsday’s cast sheet started materializing with Robert Downey Jr. joined by Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Tom Holland, and Charlie Cox. And other than all these Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch’s name’s too is getting added to the list.

There’s a rumor that it might take pages from Avengers: Children’s Crusade in which Wanda loses her memory and sides with Victor Von Doom and then the absolute hunger for power and the tables turn and so on and on.

In an interview, Elizabeth said, “I’d never really had the mentality of ‘one for them, one for me.'”. She also said, “Marvel has been such a consistent thing I’ve been able to return to and has created – what’s the word? – some feeling of insurance in my life that has given me the freedom to choose other jobs. So, I haven’t felt like, ‘And then I’ll do this to do this.'” 

Elizabeth also added about being back in the MCU, “Every time, it’s character-driven. It’s always like, ‘We have this idea, and that’s why we want you to come back.’ It’s not like, ‘Just throw her in something.'”

She really loved playing Wanda and is quite ready to come back when asked about her MCU future.

Also, she said, “Yeah, and there was a red light of explosive energy. I think I’m dead. I would beg to leave a window open. I had so much fun doing these movies. I would like to figure out how to cleverly be undead. We need to find the smartest writers to figure out how to make this all make sense. I’m open to ideas,” well it just seems that they have figured out the smartest way to bring her back.

Avengers: Doomsday is to be released on May 2026.
