Robert Downey Jr. is back in the MCU
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark aka Iron Man captured everyone’s heart. He was the perfect Tony, played Tony from the very start of MCU with Iron Man (2008) to the ultimate sacrifice he makes to save the planet from Thanos in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
There have been speculations that a Tony from the future/past or an alternate earth will come. Everyone is waiting to see their favorite star appear in Secret Wars.
Okay, he’s appearing in Avengers 5 also called Avengers: Doomsday…okay, everyone will see their star once again, but along with this news there’s some mind-baffling news too.
Yes, RDJ is returning to the MCU as Victor von Doom aka Doctor Doom .
“New mask, same task,” Downey told the audience from the stage as the actor set to take a dark path now in the MCU. It seems the 59-year-old actor is gonna appear as the Fantastic Four villain, Doctor Victor Doom.
Downey Jr. is appearing as Doctor Doom in the next two Avengers flicks: Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
In the SDCC Marvel panel, Marvel’s President Kevin Feige also announced that the Russo Brothers will direct Avengers: Doomsday, which is stated for a May 2026 release. Victor von Doom will appear also in Avengers: Secret Wars which is stated for a May 2027 release.
Looks like Doom will be from an alternate Earth.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty that has been renamed as Avengers: Doomsday, following the actor, Jonathan Majors who played Kang the Conqueror being convicted for assaulting his girlfriend.
