RDJ characters create a new tease ahead of the MCU’s next

Well, with a few weeks until the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday surfaces, Robert Downey Jr. teased the arrival of one of the biggest MCU events after Infinity War & Endgame.

RDJ played Tony Stark in the first four phases, and now he’s playing Doctor Victor von Doom. Theories on how RDJ’s Tony & Doctor Doom might be related have sparked more fan theories and wild speculations. And this doesn’t just stop there; now the man himself fuels it with a new tease ahead of the MCU’s next flick.

Robert Downey Jr. has teased Avengers: Doomsday with a new image of Iron Man & Doctor Doom on his Instagram.

This comic book-style art shows both the character’s shoulders and hands, breaking a turkey’s wishbone. This act is considered a holiday tradition for good luck to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Could this image mean some truth in the speculations? No idea. So far, nothing is known about Avengers: Doomsday, except that the first trailer is set to be out on Dec 19, 2025.

RDJ has teased Avengers: Doomsday a few other times, too. In May, he shared the comic book DOOM #1 (2024), alongside other items dubbed “Doom workstation essentials.” On Valentine’s Day, he posted a carousel with the first image of Doctor Doom’s mask full of chocolates, and on Mother’s Day, he again posted a carousel with the second image of his mother-in-law, Rosie Levin, knitting Doctor Doom’s costume.

Now, everyone’s waiting for the trailer release.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026.
