The Last Czarnian will play his part in the flick!

Come 2026, we will have the next DCU movie, and it will feature none other than the Man of Steel’s cousin. Directed by Craig Gillespie, Milly Alcock will play Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, and Jason Momoa will play Lobo.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow began filming in January 2025. But in the meantime, a new video emerged from the set. Albeit taken from a distance, it seems to be an action sequence of Jason Momoa’s character, Lobo. Check out the video on X, shared by UnBoxPHDFILM.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is based on the DC Comics miniseries by Tom King and Bilquis Evely.

The synopsis of the book:

It’s Supergirl like you’ve never seen her before, in a character-defining sci-fi/fantasy masterpiece from Mister Miracle writer Tom King and Wonder Woman artist Bilquis Evely!

Kara Zor-El had many adventures in her life, but now she feels as though she has no purpose. Everyone sees her through Superman’s fame. And just when she thought she had it all, an alien girl seeks her out for a vicious mission. The little girl wants revenge and to hunt down her father’s killer. She wants revenge, and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she’ll do it herself, whatever the cost. Now, with a Kryptonian, a dog, and an angry, heartbroken child, she heads out into space on a journey that will shake them to their very core like never before.

  1. This sounds like an exciting adaptation of the DC Comics miniseries! The casting choices seem intriguing, especially David Krumholtz as Zor-El and Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze. I’m curious about how they’ll portray the dynamic between Supergirl and the other characters. The storyline seems rich with potential for deep character development and action. How will the narrative balance the personal struggles of Supergirl with the larger plot? I’m also interested in how Krem of the Yellow Hills will fit into the story. Overall, this project has a lot of promise, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all comes together. What do you think will be the standout moment in this adaptation?
