The Marvel Cinematic Universe has executed wonderful, universe-shattering cosmic-level stories with 36 flicks and 18 (22) series, and the 6th phase is running. MCU has replaced a few actors due to creative differences, contract/pay disputes, scheduling conflicts, deaths, or storyline needs. But the original Avengers’ were untouched after a creative difference at the start with Edward Norton, who played Bruce Banner/Hulk in The Incredible Hulk, until now!

Yeah, rumors surfaced that Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk, was fired by Disney following his comments against President Donald Trump.

On Jan 11, 2026, during the 83rd Golden Globes, Mark called Donald, “He’s the worst human being. If we’re relying on this guy’s morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we’re all in a lot of trouble.”

And later, in an interview with The News Movement, when asked about the backlash rumor that started after his comment, Mark stated, “Not that I know of. People keep going like, ‘Did you get fired?’ Not that I know of!” The MCU star also said, “I’ll be there as long as they’ll have me, but I have a good relationship with them. Who knows, there might be things I’m already doing that [Laughs] I’m around, let me just say that.”

Mark will reprise the role of the green goliath in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, alongside Tom Holland’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/the Punisher. Mark reprised the role of Smart Hulk in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Currently, Avengers: Doomsday cast has finished principal photography in 2025, and a lot of details about Avengers: Secret Wars are still under wraps.
