DC deepening its ties with Epic Games in Gunn-gam style!
With Fortnite, reaching the end of Chapter 6 Season 3, it features a major crossover with James Gunn’s recent DCU flick, Superman, allowing players to visit the Fortress of Solitude after it appeared as a new location on the map.
And now another character is also coming, and it is official. Yup, Peacemaker is arriving as a skin that will be available to purchase in the Item Shop.
Fortnite has announced a special live event, ‘Super Showdown’ for Aug 2nd, 2025, at 2:30 PM ET. This event will further deepen the story into Chapter 6, maybe bringing it to a close. Unlike the previous live event, Death Star Sabotage on June 7, 2025, ending the Galactic Battle mini-season, Chapter 6 Season 3 would still be accessible until August 7.
As per mushrooming rumors, the next season of Fortnite might bring back ‘Mud’, a popular game mechanic that allows players to use mud to their advantage.
Peacemaker Is Here…
Fortnite recently introduced The Fantastic Four: First Steps to the game with a Marvel Crossover. And now, San Diego Comic Con has James Gunn announcing that the DC character Peacemaker will be hitting Fortnite‘s Item Shop in the future.
James hasn’t confirmed any sort of release date, but many fans seem to believe the skin could arrive alongside Season 2 of Peacemaker, which is releasing on August 21 on HBO Max.
A leak from ShiinaBR suggested that the Vigilante could also be coming to the popular battle royale alongside Peacemaker. It seems DC is adhering to its ties with Epic Games, with the addition of Cyborg and Robin in Chapter 6 Season 3. With that, the players now have access to all the major heroes of Teen Titans.
As per the leakers, Chapter 6 Season 4 will be followed by a new Fortnite mini-season, featuring a collaboration with the popular animated show The Simpsons.
Note: If the past is to be reviewed, this live event will’ve millions of players pulled into the game, and so better if the fans could log in a tad early with a guarantee to participate without a snag.
