It could be something more than expected, say reports on Rosario

No one can forget the gorgeous smart nurse who has friendships with not one but multiple superheroes in a city. Yeah, we’re speaking of Claire Temple, played by Rosario Dawson. The Daredevil star is likely to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Rosario portrayed Claire Temple in her last appearance in Luke Cage in 2018.

In a panel moderated by Collider’s Steve Weintraub, Rosario expressed her thoughts on what Marvel should do to convince her to come back as Claire Temple.

“I have to say that was one of the things that I signed the most while I was here. It’s so great to be able to spend time with Jeph (Loeb). We were at dinner last night and I got to see Vincent (D’Onofrio) and Charlie (Cox) and everyone,” she said. “So I would absolutely love it… I would love to hang with them and play with them again. That was such a great time. And, you know, Marvel, Disney, they got my number, they know where I am,” she added, suggesting that Claire was just a call away from Marvel.

In February 2024 too, she responded to a Marvel fan asking if she’d be willing to return as Claire, she said: “Of course!” tagging her post with the hashtag “#unfinishedbusiness.”

Daredevil Season 1 saw Rosario play the nurse Claire Temple. She later played the role in Season 2, and also made appearances in other Marvel/Netflix shows except for The Punisher.

After bringing back Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, respectively, both the stars will share the screen for the first time on the MCU project Daredevil: Born Again, albeit in Echo they were in the show, but never shared the screen. Born Again is the first of the Netflix/Marvel series to be officially revived by Marvel Studios.

Besides Cox and D’Onofrio, Daredevil: Born Again will feature the following reprisals: Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Jon Bernthal, Ayelet Zurer as Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye, Frank Castle/Punisher, and Vanessa Fisk, respectively, along with a few new cast.

In 2020, Rosario played the role of Ahsoka Tano in the fifth episode of the second season of The Mandalorian, the live-action series in the Star Wars franchise. She reprised the role in 2023’s Ahsoka, a spinoff from The Mandalorian.

With plot details under wraps, Born Again will continue storylines established in Echo with Kingpin running for mayor of New York City, and the plots from Netflix’s Daredevil series. And if the Believers are to be believed, Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.
