Jason Momoa returns to the DC Universe as the Main Man
The first person to cross our minds when we think/hear of Aquaman is none other than, Jason Momoa. He played Arthur Curry perfectly with his walk and small puns. But his role as Aquaman ended with the curtains drawn on the Snyderverse. That was indeed sad news for all. But now, Jason Momoa is returning to DCU as Lobo, the last Czarnian, the main man.

Milly Alcock starrer, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, is set to be the second film under Gunn & Safran’s rebooted DC Universe after the July 11, 2025, release of Superman, starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane, respectively. Ana Nogueira wrote the screenplay. The flick is based on Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s DC Comics run Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, one of the superb runs of Supergirl stories in modern years.
The casting news was confirmed by Momoa on his Instagram by sharing a quote from an interview with Fandango, which took place during the Aquaman 2 press tour. He captioned the post, “They called.”

With Jan 13, 2025, Supergirl’s production is aiming for a June 26, 2026. Tom King’s graphic novel doesn’t have Lobo in it, but when King pitched it initially, it was a story about Supergirl and Lobo traveling together. But Lobo was removed by his editors, Brittany Holzherr and Jamie Rich’s disapproval, and the story was reworked, thus making it centralized on Kara alone.
Now, bringing the Main Man just gets everyone excited to see what Lobo could have brought to the story.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will hit the big screens on June 26, 2026.
