Wonder Woman reveals a dark thought!

A major line that most of the heroes keep as a priority to never cross is to never take the lives of anyone, be they good or bad. But some are willing to cross that and lately, Wonder Woman is one such hero who won’t mind going to the extent of killing, if necessary to save her loved ones if things go out of hand.

Recently, the Sovereign, America’s secret king took Diana aka Wonder Woman as a captive. It is in this captive situation a past event surfaces proving that she doesn’t regret taking lives if the situation arises.

In Wonder Woman #9 by Tom King and Daniel Sampere, Wonder Woman after being isolated by the Sovereign holds to her sanity by retreating inwardly and opening up a conversation with an imaginary version of Steve Trevor.

During one such conversation, Diana talks about the Sovereign and the pain he’s caused both her and her Amazon sisters, with her imaginary version of Steve questioning the decision when she killed the king.

A Maxwell-ized Past

In Wonder Woman (Vol. 2) #219, IV part of the plot ‘Superman: Sacrifice’ Maxwell Lord took control of Superman’s mind turning him into a puppet waging war with Wonder Woman. Amid the fight, Wonder Woman discovers that killing Maxwell is the only way to free Superman, and she does that, without reluctance.

Now, the page where the Amazonian princess fantasizes about killing America’s secret king is exhibited in the same way. The sovereign might not have harmed Diana’s close ones yet, but the panels demonstrate how badly she wants the Sovereign to feel her full wrath.

Though, we know what the outcome is as shown in Trinity Spl, we can’t ever brush off her taking this decision if required with any of her foes if required.

Wonder Woman #9 is available at stores now.
