Ultra Instinct Goku & Gohan Beast, the father-son Kamehameha for the anniversary

The Dragon Ball Super manga has been on hiatus since early 2024, with fans getting desperate for any sign of its return. There’s a rumor that 2026 will be the year, now and then. Now, the Dragon Ball series author and artist Toyotarou has given the fans the biggest sign of its possible comeback in 2026.

Goku in his Ultra Instinct and Gohan in his Beast forms have been drawn by Toyotarou several times since the manga went into a hiatus. But this time the hint seems to be louder!

Currently, V Jump, a Shueisha-owned magazine, has all 104 chapters of DBS published.

Toyotarou’s art is in sync with the celebration of Dragon Ball Super‘s 10th anniversary. Many think that, if the DBS wasn’t returning, it’s very unlikely for V Jump to celebrate the anniversary. Also, V Jump is offering an incredible figure from Masterlise (Outside), a special line from Ichiban Kuji’s MASTERLISE brand.

The figure is a battle-damaged Ultra Instinct Goku and Gohan Beast fighting together, unleashing a father-son Kamehameha, drawn by Toyotarou as a poster for V Jump‘s August 2025 issue.

And that’s not all, V Jump’s December 2025 issue has an in-depth look at the new figure, plus a discussion between Toyotarou and sculptor VAROQ on it. And as a bonus, it’ll also contain a  “Trunks: Future” card for the Dragon Ball Super card game, Fusion World.

The new Ultra Instinct Goku and Gohan Beast figure is priced at 12,000 yen (approximately US$77). This whole thing could be seen as a teaser to the big upcoming news about the future of Dragon Ball, which is to be announced on Jan 25, 2026.

Let’s wait & see what 2026 has to offer, is it the return of DBS anime or the coming of a new DB like Daima.
