Mark Waid Grasps DCU’s four-issue limited series
This summer, Mark Waid is teaming up with a diverse range of artists for an updated view, through the eyes of the Flash (Barry Allen), of different timelines and eras of the DCU
For Mark, this is a dream project, and to quote him, it would be βThis is my dream project. Itβs a chance to realign all of DCβs sprawling continuity into one master timeline, and to be joined by some of comicsβ greatest artists to make it shine. With new information for even longtime fans, plus Easter eggs galore, this series will be an essential read for DC fans.β

Even the artists are thrilled. Hereβs what Todd Nauck and Jerry Ordway have to say:
Todd Nauck said, βIβm having an absolute blast with this project. Mark has come up with something cool for me to draw on every page, and itβs been an honor to share art chores with a comics legend like Jerry Ordway. The DC editorial team has coordinated a wealth of deep-dive references for me to draw from, and Iβm learning new aspects of DC history I hadnβt known beforeβand Iβve been reading DC comics for decades!β
And, Jerry Ordway said, βAs one of the artists who was part of Crisis on Infinite Earths in the 1980s. I am thrilled to be involved in telling the story of this newest DC Universe with Mark and Todd.β
Jerry Ordway and Todd Nauck, with their art on the first issue, focus on the Golden Age of comics.
New History of the DC Universe #1 will feature a main cover by Chris Samnee, and variant covers by Dan Mora, Ryan Sook, Mike Cho, Stanley βArtgermβ Lau, and Scott Koblish.
Mark has a history of being the chief historian for Marvel Comics on 2019βs, History of the Marvel Universe.
New History of the DC Universe #1 will hit the stores on June 25.
