Rob Liefeld hints at a possible Superman/Spider-Man Crossover
Soon after 3 months, we will enter 2026. It marks the 50th anniversary of the very first Marvel/DC crossover, Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of the Century (1976)by Gerry Conway, Ross Andru, Neal Adams, John Romita Sr, Dick Giordano, Terry Austin, and Bob Wiacek.
After the last DC/Marvel crossover two decades back, Deadpool/Batman (released on Sept 17, 2025), was the first crossover. Albeit there were crossovers between Wonder Woman & Captain America, Jeff & Krypto, Daredevil & Green Arrow, Rocket Racoon & Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Old Man Logan & Batman of DKR, and even an amalgamation of Logan and Lobo, Logo, there was no hint of a Spider-Man & Superman crossover.
But now there’s a rumor. As per Rob Liefeld’s post on his X, there could be a Superman/Spider-Man from DC and a Spider-Man/Superman from Marvel, with the latter drawn by Pepe Larraz.

There’s also a tweet with the rumor that Jim Lee and Dan Mora could be the artists, with each publisher handling one of the two crossover issues. So far, no official announcement has been released confirming any of the tweets.

Now, after Deadpool/Batman #1, the next upcoming crossover issue is Batman/Deadpool #1 (releasing on Nov 19, 2025). Everyone’s glued for Titans/X-Men crossover and more of the Amalgam universe.
Let’s wait and see what 2026 has in store for us comic lovers!
