Ryan2 backup story introduces Logo along with a brief cameo of Thanoseid!
DC Comics & Marvel Comics have come together, releasing Deadpool/Batman #1, with hints for a crossover on a cosmic level. Deadpool/Batman issue is an anthology of stories from multiple writers and artists. Among them is a character by Ryan North & Ryan Stegman, or should we say an amalgamated character by Ryan2, that has stirred the whole Amalgam talks once again.
Ryan North & Ryan Stegman’s amalgamated version of Logan and Lobo made its debut as Logo. Logo sure seems to wreak havoc on his path.
The Amalgam Era bridged the gap between the DC & Marvel universes. It created memorable characters like Dark Claw, merging Batman and Wolverine, Amazon, by merging Wonder Woman and Storm.
But that’s not all, there’s a brief appearance of an old Amalgam character, Thanoseid, the fusion of Darkseid & Thanos, and also a new character, Kultron, the amalgamation of Ultron and Kobra Leader. He has appeared in the first wave. This could mark the return of the start of the old Amalgam universe, or it could be a third wave of Earth-9602/Earth-1996.
Also, in this Deadpool/Batman #1 feature, there’s a mention of Super-Soldier, the merger of Captain America & Clark Kent.
Fan excitement is at its peak for this new DC/Marvel collaboration, and at the introduction of the new Amalgam teaser story, Logo. This move gives hope that Marvel and DC are ready to reopen the Amalgam universe, and this means more hybrid characters could arrive soon!
