After two decades, the DC and Marvel are gonna launch the next big event

It’s time for the fans of both the colossal publishing houses to enjoy, as both DC and Marvel are committing to a big crossover event once again. Yes, you read it right, the two titans are joining hands together.

Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski and DC Comics Editor-in-Chief Marie Javins discussed the recent reprint collections DC Versus Marvel Omnibus and DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus. Cebulski noted that it was about two decades since the last crossover, and the idea of a modern one was birthed.

And in a moment that excited the audience, the editors confirmed that later this year, everyone will see two Marvel and DC crossovers — one from each. No other details were confirmed, but the crossovers are gonna happen for sure!

Clash of the Giants

In 1976, the DC and Marvel brought the Man of Steel and the wall-crawler together in Superman/Spider-Man, birthing fan-favorite tales that bridged the two universes. And later, the publishers even had the characters fused to create a whole new universe and imprint known as Amalgam Comics. And then again in 2003, the last official crossover, JLA/Avengers. Although both the houses had mentions or glimpses of the other here and there in some issues, no official crossover happened!

This time, there’re no further details about the upcoming crossovers. It could be a sequel for JLA/Avengers or something that was hinted at in Doomsday Clock #12. But whatever be it, it changes everything. This could be the beginning of a new era for the giants.

Anything could happen now that crossovers are back on the table, and there’s no doubt that expectations are gonna go through the roof.
